Most grandmothers use their own Granny Wisdoms when they are with their grandchildren. They've practiced them for generations. These skills overlap much of the time. While a child learns self-esteem and confidence he/she may, at the same time, absorb lessons of communication and responsibility.

Whether they live in mansions and drive long cars or live in studio apartments with bus tokens on the kitchen counter, grandmothers teach with unconditional love. They teach Granny Wisdoms. They open the door and say, "Come in, come in!" And their grand walks right into their grandmother's heart and kitchen to learn the lessons which will guide that child for a lifetime.
